Review: Covergirl & BH Cosmetics

last week I posted two recent purchases and promised to review them.
so, here we go.

covergirl's outlast stay fabulous 3 in 1 foundation: this product not only promises to be a foundation, but also a primer and concealer. i give it 4 stars. i still find myself using a bit of concealer, just not as much as i usually need. it could be that i have major dark circles - shout out to my italian genes. this foundation provides coverage the entire day, doesn't produce any shine over time and isn't really heavy on the skin. overall i do LOVE this foundation and would definitely recommend purchasing it.

bh cosmetic's malibu palette: i saw someone post this deal on instagram and couldn't refuse. for $15, i received this eyeshadow and blush/contour palette, four double ended brushes and a liquid eyeliner. i mean ... how could you pass that up? you can see in the picture above that the eyeshadows include some neutrals but mostly bright, summery colors. i've used the blush & contour a few times and i'm pretty satisfied. the brushes however, seem a little harsh on the skin. every once in a while, i'll grab a brush from this kit to add some definition or blend in the crease. most of the time i stick to my sephora brushes that are unbelievably soft (and full size). i haven't experimented with the bright colors in this palette, but i'm hoping they're as high pigmented as they look. i'm sure once summer rolls around i'll be picking up this kit more often.
